Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963-1995

For only £ 16 you can buy Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963-1995, a famed artwork by Tracey Emin!

Would you believe it?

Low-cost art for everyone seems to be the motto of IARTISTLONDON, the company born from an idea of Naroa Lizar, 26, a recent graduate of the University for the Creative Arts in Kent: www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/4ns/studentDetails/Naroa+Lizar/88306

After Marcel Duchamp, Beyus, and Manzoni, following conceptual art, minimalism and the proliferation of so many 'isms' that would probably be mocked by Duchamp himself, the difference between a common object and an artwork became more and more thin. The brainwave of a British girl abolished the difference once and for all.

Naroa Lizar was probably inspired by the same artists who made a mockery of the arts while building personal empires by ceaselessly telling 'all is art'. All that she did was to follow their words to the letter, by producing artworks in kit form, with parts for assembly and, needless to say, instructions included.

As a matter of fact, many contemporary artworks are realized with common materials, even waste, and technique or skilfulness are not exactly needed.
The idea - the final degree project of Naroa Lizar - is to reproduce some of the most famous contemporary artworks: customers have simply to choose which do-it-yourself famous artwork they want to bring home; since now they can buy it, also on the Internet, for a few pounds.

A plastic skull, artificial gems and a little glue are all that you need to exhibit in your home Love of God, a celebrated artwork by Damien Hirst.

£ 16 are enough to bring home Tracey Emin's Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963-1995; but don't be surprised once you'll receive a tent, coloured strings and some pieces of fabric.

If you want to keep within the budget of £ 5, you can order a trivial warm water bag and some alginate, a substance used in the alimentary and pharmaceutical industries as a stabilizer and thickener: they are the ingredients needed to produce a copy of Untitled (Pink Torso), a 1991 sculpture by Rachel Whiteread.

If you have a liking for street art, you can buy some Bansky stencils: for only £ 10, paint spray included, your (or your neighbour's) house could be coated with copies of the artworks by a celebrated graffiti writer.

At www.iartistlondon.com you can find all the details and choose your real famous artwork. Who cares if your living room is not the Tate or the MOMA! The important thing is to take part; and you can take part much more actively in this way, rather than looking at a shark in formalin.
