Phase two dedicated to Marvel heroes, closed with one of the most unlikely marvel-man of comics: Ant-Man, a superhero able to shrink and to communicate with ants!
Played by Paul Rudd, and with the participation of Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly (may be a bit better than in The Hobbit, but…), the movie tells the story of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), a brilliant engineering graduate, determined to change his life and that of his daughter, obstacled by the ex-wife and her new ‘man’. Anyway change is not easy, because ready to steal into the home of the old man named Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), out these night from home, he found in the safe of the scientist the suit of Ant-Man. But it was all a trap of high intelligence concocted by Hank Pym himself, to pass the baton of his great discovery: a serum able to shrink the form for more power. A very secret and revolutionary technology, which, if finished in the wrong hands (like those of former protege of Pyme, Darren Cross, played by Corey Stoll), who has already taken steps to patent the Hornet - could put in troubles the existence itself.
The Movie is fun but unpretentious, and works, thanks to the post-credits scene, as a ‘bridge’ to the future Captain America: Civil War. The interpretation of the actors is good, but the movie, despite humor and fun, is missing something. Especially in terms of the plot, much 'lighter' than other Marvel movies, and definitely incomparable to Comics-movie of last summer, Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Movie is somewhat intangible in terms of direction, despite the good performance of actors and the spectacular special effects, real nervralgic center of the Comics-movie.
I would recommend to see this Marvel-movie only to fans of Ant-Man, or to those who do not want to miss any single piece of the vast Marve- multiverse!
